About This Role

In This Position, You’ll

• Determine a suitable risk rating, both qualitatively and quantitatively, by evaluating the borrower’s and guarantor’s complex financial performance based on a number of parameters. This would involve reviewing financial statements and comparing them to rules for commercial real estate.
• Examine past cash flows and create a proforma based on the property’s past performance and pertinent market information.
• Examine current leases on the property for relevant terms like go dark and termination options to ascertain any potential effects on cash flows.
• Examine the loan documents and list the key details, including the ongoing covenants (financial and non-financial) that the borrower must uphold.
• Use a variety of third-party applications to do real estate market research, then compare the subject property’s performance to market statistics to determine its overall performance.
• Examine third-party papers, such as appraisals, site inspection reports, and property condition assessments, to determine the property’s overall performance and to pinpoint important elements that could affect the asset.
• Record and compile all results based on the reviews indicated above.
• Verify the quality of the job that junior team members have done and offer pertinent criticism.
• Recognize the input from the onshore team members and share it with the rest of the team.
• Give the team members instruction and familiarize them with various situations.
• Keep in touch with asset managers and ensure that the intended results are produced.
• Act as the team’s subject matter expert and skillfully handle changes and a growing workload.
• Provide team members with practical training. Find areas where processes can be made more efficient.

6+ years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, or an equivalent amount of time proven by one or more of the following: education, training, job experience, or military experience.
