This position supports the structured finance, corporate debt financing, and loan department within Wells Fargo India’s Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business, which serves both major domestic and foreign clients.

Working for and assisting a premier structured finance department in the sector is part of the job. In particular, this entails providing support for credit analysis and portfolio management to a sizable department that extends loans to financial institutions. Working closely with the business’s front office team is another requirement of the role, which also entails reviewing a variety of client documents, conducting financial reviews, credit analyses, writing various memos, compiling regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, trend analysis, covenant reviews, ratio calculations, etc. There are many possibilities to grow, learn, and contribute to the company in this job.

In this position, you’ll:

  • Assist with planning for functional area deliverables and take part in tracking, recording, underwriting, and responding to the credit quality of a given loan portfolio under the CIB Portfolio Management functional area.
  • Examine simpler or more tactical problems, rules, or processes that have immediate solutions pertaining to low-to-medium risk assignments and outputs.
  • While gaining knowledge of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, follow instructions from your supervisor and use your judgment.
  • Give managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders information.

The following requirements must be met:

  • six or more months of CIB Portfolio Management experience, or an equivalent, as proven by one or more of the following: education, training, military experience, and work experience

Required qualifications:

  • Analysis of financial statements. Checking the quality and completeness of financial estimates, including covenants, by going over monthly client reporting.
  • Creating a written or standard-sized excel summary of the aforementioned information.
  • Keeping up with different spreadsheets and databases for internal reporting.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the client’s or our loan recipient’s financial trends.
  • Creating decks to report on the aforementioned on a regular or quarterly basis.

Expectations for the job:

  • A minimum of a B. Com. Or M. Com. Or a comparable degree. An equivalent degree, such as an MBA, CA, CFA, or FRM, would be advantageous.
  • Experience in structured finance (including work on mortgage-backed securities, bond securitizations, or collateralized lending), securitization, and/or CDF markets with another large bank is preferred. Experience in credit analysis, debt or equity research, and corporate lending is limited to two years.
  • Thorough knowledge of the accounting rules and financial statements (IFRS, GAAP, etc.) Of major corporations and/or financial institutions, along with the capacity to identify important risks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and powerpoint); advanced understanding of VBA, Python, Excel, macros, and other related topics would be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the capacity to speak clearly, and strong business writing abilities (grammar, error-free, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal motivation are necessary for working across countries.
  • The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment are essential (time management skills are important).
  • Must feel at ease working both individually and collaboratively.
